We are now enjoying the summer and it was great to see the return of the Sidmouth Folk Festival (hopefully the first of many we and our guests can enjoy). Although it wasn't the full festival it was still fun and the music was great, with many planned and impromptu performances during the week. We were also lucky to see quite a lot of the dancing and we can't wait to see it in full flow on the esplanade next year as we believe it is quite a spectacle.
Having opened in May it has been more like a 'normal' season than last year and we are keeping our fingers crossed that we will have seen the last of the lockdowns as the B&B has really come to life now it is filled with happy holidaymakers. As always we have welcomed some return visitors and some regular visitors, who are new to us even though they have 'holidayed' at the Willow Bridge many times. We will be open through to the end of October and then again from the 20th November to just before Christmas for anyone looking for a winter break.
It is not just the Folk Festival returning; The August Bank Holiday will be a great time to visit too with the Sidmouth Airshow on the 27th featuring the Red Arrows and a Firework Display on the 28th. The Manor Pavillion is open with a run of plays over the summer, as well as the Radway Cinema showing the latest films and Band concerts have returned to Connaught Gardens on Sunday evenings.
One challenge that our guests have mentioned is ensuring that there is availability in the local pubs and restaurants for evening meals. We are continuing to mention to guests to book ahead especially if they want to eat in a favourite place.
We look forward to seeing you soon
